Working for a Major Oil Company based in Libya. The jobs are on an annual renewable contract. In all cases salaries are paid monthly Tax Free.
Some jobs are rotational and some are town based. Details below.
Job Overview: Performs the design of mechanical, electrical, civil and instrumentation installations for oilfield and gas process plant installations.
1. Design new facilities and modifications to existing facilities from proposals of qualified project engineer,
using CAD drafting package.
2. Directs contract draftsman in design, revisions, “as built” programmes and ensures quality of work.
3. Prepares material take off lists from engineering drawings
4. Makes field visits, liaises between field personnel and his supervisor and project engineers to ensure fulfilment of technical requirements of all concerned.
Performs on site investigations to recommend the optimum method of facilities installation.
6. Assumes responsibilities for design drafting activity in the absence of his supervisor as directed.
7. Assist in training of less qualified personnel as directed.
TOWN BASED;
They are staff jobs offering tax free salary and a very good package including air conditioned, fully furnished and fully equipped apartments in the beach front ex-pat community. You will also be covered by full medical insurance, life assurance, sick pay and regular salary reviews. Each year you get a main holiday of 32 days with return tickets to UK (or your point of origin) plus 2 additional holidays of 1 week each with free air tickets to destination of your choice within 1050 miles of Tripoli.
ROTATIONAL:
The work rotation is based on a cycle of 42 continuous work days followed by 37 days field break with return flights to the UK or your point of origin each break. Living accommodation is provided on bachelor status in modern well furnished and equipped individual chalets or larger villas. Each Villa has between 6 to 8 rooms all with en suite bathrooms plus a shared lounge. They have all the required facilities including air conditioning and satellite TV. Sports facilities are located nearby. Swimming Pool, tennis courts, Gym.
Contracts are open ended and the company hopes to be able to keep you longer than a year. You can terminate the contract at anytime by giving notice of 1 rotation or 1 month. They give annual salary increases. Salary is paid in Sterling into your bank account and is free of tax. You will be covered by full expat medical insurance. £100,000 life insurance, paid sick leave and a termination bonus when you leave or retire
